A new year is the perfect excuse to dive into your stash, print those photos, and start documenting the memories that matter most. The Bramble Fox Design Team has created six beautiful 12 x 12 layouts packed with inspiration — whether you love clean lines, mixed media, or photo-heavy designs.
Let’s take a closer look…
1. Creating Memories – Layout by Kirei
Kirei’s layout, Creating Memories, is a gorgeous example of balanced design and thoughtful layering.
Using five photos, she has positioned them in a neat row about two-thirds up the page, creating a strong horizontal focal point. Two coordinating patterned papers frame the design beautifully, while white cardstock adds a crisp border that really makes everything pop.
Tags and ephemera are tucked around the photo strip, adding depth and detail, with hearts and embellishments grounding the bottom of the layout. The Bramble Fox “Creating Memories” title is the perfect finishing touch, pulling everything together seamlessly.
Why try this in 2026?It’s ideal for documenting a special event or day out with multiple favourite snapshots.
2. Together is Everything – Layout by Tarrah
New Design Team member Tarrah brings a fresh perspective with her New Year’s Eve layout titled Together is Everything.
Using white cardstock as her base, she framed the page with strips of patterned paper on the left and right edges. Two photos are placed diagonally — one top left and one bottom right — creating movement across the page.
Clusters of florals, hearts, and butterflies surround each photo, visually connecting them to the central Bramble Fox title “Together is Everything.”
Why try this in 2026?A diagonal design is perfect for telling a story with just two standout photos while keeping the layout dynamic and full of life.
3. Family Shenanigans – Layout by Wendy
Wendy embraces the growing trend of including more photos on a single layout — and we love it!
Using ten photos to document a fun darts game, she proves that you don’t need to choose just one or two favourites. Again, white cardstock forms the base, framed by patterned paper strips on each side.
Bright colours make this layout pop, while tags placed at the top right and bottom left add balance. The two Bramble Fox titles, “Family Shenanigans” and “Snapshot,” give the page personality and energy.
Why try this in 2026?Perfect for action shots, party moments, or any memory where you want to capture the full story.
4. Friends – Layout by Sheena
Sheena’s Christmas-themed layout is simple, effective, and easy to recreate.
One photo is placed on top of a large multicoloured star, immediately drawing the eye. The bold Bramble Fox title “Friends” becomes a key design element, stitched around for added texture and detail.
Ink splatters and extra star embellishments complete the festive feel without overwhelming the page.
Why try this in 2026?This design works beautifully for seasonal photos or any celebration — and it’s wonderfully beginner-friendly.
5. Our Year – Layout by Anna
Another new member of the Bramble Fox team, Anna has created a stunning 12-photo layout, using one photo for each month to summarise her year.
The light and bright design feels fresh and uplifting. Arrows, ephemera, and word elements are dotted around the page, guiding your eye through the year’s highlights. The Bramble Fox title “Our Year” anchors the layout perfectly.
Why try this in 2026? This is a fantastic way to reflect on your year — and makes a wonderful annual tradition to start now.
6. Chilly Days & Highlights – Layout by Julie
Julie’s wintery layout is a true mixed media feast.
With one central photo placed at the top of the page, she uses light blue pom-pom trim to the left of the photo for a soft pop of texture. The background blends light brown and icy green tones, enhanced with stamping and stencilling.
Linen cloth, coloured with ink, frames the photo beautifully, while layers of ephemera add depth. At the bottom, the two Bramble Fox titles — “Chilly Days” and “Highlights” — work perfectly together, finishing the layout with style.
Why try this in 2026? If you love texture, layering, and getting inky, this layout is the perfect creative playground.
